November 29 is this year's Small Business Saturday. Remember in the movie, "You've Got Mail", the small neighborhood children's bookstore is where families can read and learn about children's' books with their little loved ones. The staff are friendly and ever so knowledgeable. Our neighborhood toy store, Doodlehopper 4 Kids, is just like that. Need a toy for a birthday party but don't know what is hot, educational, and approved by parents? Hop into Doodlehopper, and the staff will advise on a list of possibilities and even work with our youngsters to make the best selection. The store also carries a calendar of activities, ranging from craft making to Mad Science, should we need something to entertain our little ones that are under the spell of cabin fever, and yes, some of them are FREE! We feel as happy and safe shopping at Doodlehopper as we would at home. Needless to say, it has been our go-to toy store for years. Do you have a favorite neighborhood business, too? Share with us, and let's help preserve these little gems in the neighborhood. If you don't have one, let's find one today on Small Business Saturday.
